The Gourmet Walk 3 hours

This tour will introduce you to the Portuguese cuisine and its incredible mix of mediterranean tradition and exotic influences from all corners of the World. We will start with Lisbon’s great Cafés and Portugal’s strong café-culture and you will have the chance to take a look at delicious and exotic products, from dried, salted Bacalhau to sausages, hams and cheeses. Learn the history of Portugal’s famous fortified wine, Port, and then try some with delicious cheese. Learn about sweets and pastries and try the famous custard tart. Hear about the only tea produced in Europe, grown in the Atlantic Island of São Miguel, in the Azores.Visit one of the most famous restaurants in Lisbon, the Trindade brewery and try some Portuguese Beer . Go to the viewpoint and admire the beautiful views from the garden of São Pedro de Alcântara.

Get to know the Bairro Alto, home to some of Lisbon’s most famous restaurants, Fado-houses, bars and nightclubs. Go down the steps of Calçada do Duque, and admire the breathtaking views as you go past some great hidden restaurants. Finish your tour in style, in a palace that hides one of the most intriguing interiors in the city. Here you will sit down for a light meal and be introduced to some of Portugal’s most famous delicacies.
