The Lisbon Walk & Bike 3 hours

We will combine a walking and cycling tour. We will start at the Rossio Square and learn how the city was destroyed in the 18th century by a massive earthquake. Take a look at the Obelisk in the Restauradores Square, which commemorates the Restoration of Portugal’s independence from Spain in 1640. Marvel at the intricate Neo-Manueline architecture of the old Central Train Station. Learn about the Carnation Revolution of 1974 as you visit the Carmo Square, the very place where Portugal’s old dictatorial regime fell after 48 years. Walk through the elegant neighbourhood of Chiado and finish up in the Comercio Square, one of Europe’s largest and most beautiful squares.

Now it's time to take the bikes and ride along the Tagus River to Belém. Our first stop will be the Monument to the Overseas Combatant. Then we will ride to the famous Tower of Belem then turn to the Cultural Centre of Belém and the Monastery of Jerónimos. We finish with a taste of the best custard tart in the world.
