Oceanário Aquarium

Oceanário is Europe’s biggest aquarium. Located in a spectacularly designed building of Parque das Nações, it was designed to raise the public awareness about the need of conservation of the ocean. Oceanário has more than 7 million liters of seawater, 15 000 animals and plants, and represents over 450 different species. It is divided into 5 habitats: Global Ocean in the central tank, Tropical Indian, North Atlantic, Temperate Pacific and Antarctic. It also has 25 thematic tanks.
